Description
In a more functional version of the UV printer, its roll-to-roll mechanism allows for high-quality printing on flexible materials as well as rigid substrates. The newly designed and well-structured housing, the THK guide rail, and the 3,200 x 2,000 mm printing area are ideal for installations dealing with full-time industrial operations. It is capable of printing on heavy metal or wood sheets weighing up to 200 kg. Using UV ink, it can print excellent images on various rigid media such as glass, acrylic, wood, PVC foam board, KT board, MDF, aluminum, cell phone cases, ceramics, polycarbonate, polystyrene, etc. It allows for printing white when the material is transparent or colored and allows for printing the exact colors of three layers, meaning printing color-white-color in one go. The printhead options are Ricoh Gen6 5pL. The printing colors are CMYK, White. Vanish is available on all Ricoh printheads.
The ink curing system operates with water-cooled UV LED lamps, which have a longer lifespan, operate quietly, do not produce ozone gas, and emit less heat compared to traditional mercury lamps. It allows the user more media options, printing on sensitive or non-sensitive materials, and printing with varnish application, in addition to saving energy, costs, and time. Using VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), the UV-curable ink is environmentally friendly and odorless.
The drawer-type UV lamp cassette makes replacing lamps easy when needed. The unique 5-degree bank angle design prevents damage to the lamp heads.
Combining sheet-fed and roll-to-roll printing functions, a large vacuum table allows for precise media feeding. The maximum material width is 320 cm and the length is 205 cm. The table has pneumatic folding linear alignment pins for easy positioning of rigid media. An air compressor connection is required to operate the system. The X-axis has 5 pins and the Y-axis has 4 pins. Switching between table mode and roll-to-roll mode is easily done with a click in the software.
Inflatable winding roller for releasing and collecting flexible media. Roller tension control panels on the front frame are used to adjust the rotation speed.
Two powerful vacuum pumps for air suction in 5 zones of the vacuum table. With their respective control buttons, a foot switch allows reversing the air blowing function to easily lift heavy media (optional). The Honey-Comb table and internal air ducts ensure efficient and powerful vacuum distribution.
Equipped with a linear motor for greater precision, efficiency, and stability, the Japanese THK silent guide rail and the X-axis metal raster ensure straight carriage movement for precise printing and high-speed driving capability. The Y Asix is driven by a dual Delta motor belt system with a metal raster, which can control deviation within 1µm.
With an automatic height detector, it can detect the material thickness and find a good height position for better print quality. The anti-crash and continuous printing system can protect the print head from failures while continuing printing. It has impact sensors on both sides of the transport mechanism, so the print heads are not damaged by materials.
The automatic high-volume ink supply system ensures continuous printing. The white ink has an automatic agitation and circulation system, which prevents clogging of the print head.
This system continuously circulates ink, which enters both the secondary tank and the main internal tank. It is equipped with a low ink level sensor, which can alert users when the ink level is low.
It can print on substrates up to 100 mm thick, and the printing distance between the table and the print head can be increased up to 200 mm with an optional adapter for printing on thicker materials. It is possible to print on heavy substrates weighing up to 100 kg.
With advanced RIP technology, the user can achieve smooth gradients, vivid images, and small, very sharp text. The ICC color management workflow provides vibrant and bright colors.
